Mandeep Takhar

BSc. Honours Physiotherapy, BSc. Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology

Mandeep received his Honours in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom where he lived for three years. Prior to this he completed his Bachelors in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. He continues to pursue knowledge and skills in various therapy modalities to provide excellent quality service to his clients.
Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Mandeep worked as a personal trainer and continues to utilise his knowledge in health and wellness to promote holistic methods of rehabilitation. He uses manual therapy, movement and exercise techniques, and patient education as the focal point of his treatments. Working in the UK healthcare system provided him with experience in treating neurological, musculoskeletal, and paediatric conditions.

Aside from Physiotherapy, Mandeep enjoys participating in recreational sports leagues and working on his own personal fitness

Kevin is a recent graduate from the University of British Columbia. He completed his undergrad with a Bachelors of Kinesiology and has a background in athletic training, bodybuilding and powerlifting.

As a Kinesiologist, Kevin looks for as much exposure as possible to all types of injuries in order to build his skill set in treatment. After working for a year, Kevin plans to return to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia.

When he is not in the clinic, he can be found in Community and Recreation Centres all over the Lower Mainland, continuing with Active Rehabilitation, or following through with his own workout programs. He holds a black belt in martial arts and has instructed youth as well as adults for 4 years.

Kevin actively volunteers for both VPD and Vancouver Coastal Health out of UBC Hospital. On Saturday's he leads or assists in neighbourhood watch, and organizes youth events, while on Monday's, he volunteers in an ambulation program assisting people who can no longer walk. 

Sarah Pepper

Sarah has a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of British Columbia specializing in Finance.

She previously worked as an administrative assistant at a 6 years at a Richmond Law firm.

Sarah enjoys traveling and spent a semester in New Zealand on exchange and taught English in Taiwan for a short time.

Sarah also enjoys playing board games with friends.

Michael earned his Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology degrees from the University of British Columbia. He continues to acquire new skills and knowledge and is currently pursuing post-graduate training through the Advanced Manual Therapy Orthopaedics and the Sport Physiotherapy Canada Diploma programs.

Michael enjoys treating the general public as well as athletes of all levels to return his clients to work, leisure, and sports. His previous experience working as an on ice trainer with the Vancouver Thunderbirds Minor Hockey Association has generated a special interest in treating sports injuries. His treatment philosophy involves a combination of manual therapy, exercise and movement re-education to restore full, pain-free function.

When Michael is not in the clinic, he can be found playing recreational team sports, which include hockey, football, basketball, and softball. You may also find him skating on the ice at Rogers Arena as a member of the Vancouver Canucks Ice Team!

Stephanie Chang


Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia specializing in Visual arts, Art History and Sociology.

She has years of professional administrative experience in data entry and photography and photo editing working for a photography company in the lower mainland.
Combined with her experience in the customer service industry Stephanie emphasizes quality work, service, and care to best serve patients.

She believes in always being open-minded, patient, and considerate and loves hearing stories from the clinic’s regulars.

When Stephanie is not in the clinic she can be found taking photos, refining her cooking skills, and trying new baking recipes to feed clinic patients during holidays and special occasions. 

Takami Shirai B. Kin., MPT

Takami earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto following the completion of his Bachelor of Kinesiology with a Minor in Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia. His passion for exercise and movement stems from participating in basketball, volleyball and football growing up. Prior to pursuing his physiotherapy degree, Takami was the head coach of the strength and conditioning program at Special Olympics Richmond where he supported athletes in their preparation for National Games. He also facilitated adapted exercise programs for individuals with spinal cord injury in Vancouver.

Over the course of his physiotherapy degree, Takami applied his clinical skills to empower those with orthopaedic, neuromusculoskeletal and respiratory conditions. He employs a combination of manual techniques, therapeutic exercises and self-management strategies to help clients return to their meaningful activities. As an avid runner, Takami has a special interest in gait analysis and management of running-related injuries.

Outside of the clinic, Takami loves exploring the North Shore trails and being part of the local running community.  

Manu Nijjar

Manu Nijjar


Manu Nijjar has the experience and skills to help you feel better.
He holds a Master of Physical Therapy and was a past Member of Physical Therapy Admissions Committee from the University of British Columbia Master.
He is recognized as an Examiner of the Canadian National Physiotherapy Licensing Board and was a past Student Board Member College of Physical Therapists of BC. He is an accomplished physiotherapist having won the Evert Boxtart Memorial Award in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia.

For years Manu has been proud to provide physiotherapy care in a variety of settings from intensive care units, exercise based functional rehab programs, & outpatient clinics.
He is experienced in rehabilitating acute and chronic injuries with training in Level I Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, Level II Lower Quadrant Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, Level II Upper Quadrant Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, and Level III Upper Quadrant Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Outside the Clinic Manu enjoys spending time with his wife and children and being part of the Richmond community.
